This item ships from a different facility than our case parts, has its own fixed shipping cost, and is not available for Will Call pickups. * TOOLS CAN ONLY BE SHIPPED WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL USA

- 10" Steel blade designed for cutting aluminum
-Precision-ground with no set for smoother cuts
- Fits circular saws, miter saws, chop saws, cutoff saws and table saws that accept a 10" diamter blade
- Standard 5/8" arbor

NOTE: Whenever cutting, or drilling, metals you must keep blades and bits well lubricated with tool oil during operation to prevent overheating and causing the metal shavings to fuse to the blades or drill bits. Keeping blades and drill bits well lubricated during operation provides smoother, faster, and cleaner cutting, while dramatically increasing tool life and serviceability. It is also customary to cut and drill somewhat slowly with metals, as this is much different than with wood.

  1. Aluminum welded to the blade almost immediately 3 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Jun 2013

I noticed after about ten cuts that performance had taken a dive. When I looked closer, I saw that each tooth had a tiny bit of aluminum melted onto it.

After consulting a friend who happens to be a machinist, I found out that you have to cut VERY slowly, and use candle wax liberally on the blade. Worked like a charm. Would have been nice to know. Also, this blade is NOT the type shown in the videos.

    Hi Nick,

I am sorry to hear about your difficulty, but unfortunately we can't be held responsible for how folks operate their power tools, or whether they follow proper protocol regarding their operation. It is a well-known fact among power tool users (and is also usually listed in the tools' owner's manuals) that whenever cutting, or drilling, metals you must keep blades and bits well lubricated with tool oil during operation to prevent overheating and the fusing of metal shavings to the cutting instruments. Keeping such cutting/drilling blades/bits lubricated during operation provides smoother, faster, cleaner cutting, while dramatically increasing tool life and serviceability. It is also customary to cut/drill somewhat slowly with metals, as this is much different than wood.

I am sorry if we assumed that all customers would know this. I have added this information to those product descriptions for folks who do not make themselves familiar with the proper operation of tools before using them, or who choose to use power tools without reading owner's manuals.

Regarding the blade not being the same one as seen in our DVD, I am not exactly sure why that would be any kind of issue. The DVD video footage was shot in 2007/2008 on a saw that is no longer even in service in our shop. There are many different styles and brands of blades. We change blades frequently due to wear and tear, just as any shop does. Whether we use the same blade all of the time is irrelevant with regard to performance, or as to whether you "recognize" it or not.

    Best wishes,
