Description

Door Trim Extrusion (has 1/4" channel - see note below*) - Used to cover (trim) bare edges of wood panels similar to U-Cap but contains a small flange on one side to create doors (for trap doors & access doors) and prevent them from opening inward inside the case when you close the door, as well as providing a clean trim to create a door frame. Because of this, you do not need to line the hole cutout with U-Cap Extrusion. We recommend that you utilize our Rotary Cam Access Door Latch in conjunction with this extrusion.

NOTE: Mill finish unanodized extrusions can commonly incur surface abrasions during shipment from rubbing together if they incur harsh handling during the shipment process. This is not abnormal, and is easy to remedy by rubbing the extrusions with some #0000 Fine Grade Steel Wool, cheaply available at any hardware store.

SEE OUR HELP DOCUMENT BELOW REGARDING THIS EXTRUSION

*NOTE: MAY BE USED FOR CREATING DOORS EVEN ON CASES MADE WITH 3/8" & 1/2" WALLS.  AFTER CUTTING OUT THE DOOR FROM YOUR 3/8" OR 1/2" WALL PANELS, YOU THEN SIMPLY ROUTE DOWN THE EDGES TO FIT THE 1/4" DOOR TRIM CHANNEL. CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

Rivets Required For Installation: Varies depending on length of section used, as well as associated parts that may be riveted through it.

Depending on your case design some rivets may require backing washers. Most rivets will install through the interior leg of the extrusion and therefore require no backing washers.

Material: Mill Finished Aluminum
