Product Description

Our Pneumatic Rivet Gun rivals high-end rivet guns at a fraction of the cost -  If you are familiar with the $40-$70 rivet guns that are available from Harbor Freight Tools, we can tell you that this gun is definitely leaps above such guns in quality and performance. Our unique volume-driven parnership with the manufacturer of this gun (which sells under different name brands for $200+) allows us to sell it at this affordable DIY price! This is an affordable high-quality alternative and rivals high-end brand-name rivet guns. Our shop has replaced three of our $400 industrial-grade guns with this item and we couldn't be happier with its performance!

May be used for installing any of our rivets sold here at our store, or any other blind (pop) rivets up to 3/16". Makes installing rivets a breeze.

This ships from a different facility than our case parts, has its own fixed shipping cost, and is not available for Will Call pickups. * TOOLS CAN ONLY BE SHIPPED WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL USA

Standard 1/4" air inlet. Requires an air compressor. Air Pressure: 90-120psi / Avg CFM 4.2 - 5.6 CFM

  1. The Rivet Gun is excellent. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Jun 2015

I didn't have any instructions. I just connected it and started using it. I requires NO maintenance. I'm almost done with my second case and it is still going strong.

  2. Excellent deal! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Jan 2015

I had no problems with this gun. I'm new at this so I'm only about 50 rivets in but I have had no problems. Even if I have to buy a new gun for each project (which I won't because it seems this one will last a long time), I'm still saving hundreds of dollars over buying a completed case of similar quality.

  3. Saves time over the manual hand held 3 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Mar 2013

The gun is nice when it works. It jams very easily and a lot of times it won't cut off the rivet after it punched. So then you have to use a pair of plyers to pull out the stem. Will probably look for another pneumatic gun though, it really saves a lot of time.

We are sorry that you experienced difficulties, however, these are common symptoms of three possible things:
    1. Improper Air Flow
    2. Improper Lubrication
    3. Jaw Assembly Misalignment

This is all covered and explained in detail in the Rivet Gun Tutorial Video and Rivet Gun Manual, provided to customers free of charge with their purchase of the gun. They may be seen at the following links:

    http://www.diyroadcases.com/rivetguntutorial.html
    http://www.diyroadcases.com/rivetgunmanual.html

We have only had to replace one gun due to a manufacturing defect in the past 8 months. Rivet guns are very sensitive instruments by nature, but 99% of gun malfunctions may be corrected by simple steps outlined at the above-listed links.

I would love to speak with you in order to investigate this further, but you never contacted us regarding this, and did not even post a name here, so that we could research orders and try to make contact with you.

    Best wishes,

  4. This New Gun Is Killer 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Sep 2012

I read the other reviews regarding the previous gun that they were selling, but this one worked right out of the box with no fuss. The basic instruction sheet even says that it is ready to go and requires no drama to get it up and running like some other guns. Just a drip of lubricating oil in the air inlet once in a while and you are good to go. I don't know what the previous gun was like, but I have used other more costly guns and this one works just as well if not better.

  5. A GREAT VALUE!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Aug 2012

This gem is a great price and does the job. But other reviews that I have read here and on other sites that sell air rivet guns are true, you must properly clean and prepare the gun with lubricant in order for it to work properly. If you dont oil or lubricate the proper areas and make sure they are clean, these guns will not work properly because they are very sensitive. Otherwse, a great tool!

  6. good bang for buck 4 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Aug 2012

Many other online reviews of similar product reflect what I experienced. Cryptic instructions, so let me simplify:
Dis-assemble completely, cleaning and moving all parts, as some factory debris and binding of moving parts may need to be worked a little.
The large base is an air chamber that needs to be opened. Be prepared - you'll need some big, long handled wrenches, as those supplied would not hold up to force required on mine. With bottom off, clean as shown, then fill open chamber in handle with oil. This establishes hydraulic connection with the actuator in the top. No oil = no operation.
Try not to overfill. STOP at top of hole where it enters the air chamber. After a bit of fussing, you'll find it works well, and is a great value, provided you're ok with this level of preparation of your new tool.

  7. AWESOME and Cheap!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Jul 2012

They finally added some cool tools and this rivet gun rocks! I had one from Harbor Freight ($37) and it was okay but after a couple months it developed issues. This gun is a gem for $45 and way better than the HF gun. was gonna give it 4 stars cuz its yellow and not red lol jk. Good find DIY and thanks for not ripping us the f*** off to be able to own it!!
