    Still great handles

Posted by Unknown on 7th Oct 2015

This is the second box I've built, and I love these handles. My boxes are big and heavy - 4'x3'x1.5', 150#. These handles work, and snap out of the way when you let go. Perfect.

    Great handles

Sturdy handle with a strong spring that will keep it flush when not in use. I'm buying another set right now.

    Fancy fancy

These handles were a good indicator that the roadcase I made for my amp were legit. Bandmates are very jealous.

    It's Penn-Elcom. It's bullet-proof.

Posted by Unknown on 3rd May 2013

Everyone knows Penn-Elcom manufactures the best case hardware. We all look to purchase their hardware at the best price. However, SERVICE, both before, during and after the sale is so important in this day and age of "I did it all on the internet." You might be able to find this handle for a few cents cheaper elsewhere, but you won't find better customer service than right here on DIY Roadcases.

That said, I highly recommend also purchasing the backplate for this handle. Yeah, I know; you need four handles for your flightcase and getting four backplates will cost you a whole $7.00 vs. just using backing washers. Think about this: The backplates are a solid piece of 1/8" aluminum. The strength they provide to these handles vs. just using washers is immense. One solid piece vs. a bunch of washers. Really, washers would work OK, but a buck and change for the 100% solution vs. $.30 for the .50% solution...unless you're buiding 302 cases at a time, there's really no discussion necessary!
